Just FYI, the frozen ones my friend served were very good. They were Savannah Classics Hush Puppies Original.
I must be more adventurous than the rest of my family, as far as culinary tastes. LOL Growing up we had the basics - meat, potatoes, veggies, soups, stews, etc. Mom never made Chinese, Mexican, or anything else - basically PA Dutch style cooking. I never had a hush puppy until I was an adult, so can't ask mom how to make them. LOL
