Hush puppies

Does anyone have a good recipe for hush puppies?

Had some frozen ones at a friend's house, and they were really good. Unfortunately, we can't find them in this area.

I made a batch yesterday that were okay, not the best, but far from the worst I've ever had.

    When looking for frozen Hush Puppies. Check the fish section of your store.
    Wal Mart carries them there our Kroger carries them in the reg. Frozen section.

    I take the Mrs. Whites dry mix fro Wal Mart and dress it up a little. I add onion powder, a little extra corn meal and some times some grated sharp cheddar cheese. I can my own jams and a hush puppy with some home made apricot jam is killer.
