My better half (my "sous chef"! Lol) made the seasoning, from one of the Weber cookbooks. I will have to ask her which one it is.
I use a mix of apple and cherry for wood. Usually try to have 2 chunks of each, but this smoke had 3 of one as my wood chunks are running very low. So it was 3 smaller pieces and 2 larger.
Only thing I would have done different is to use some skewers next time to hold the 3 butts away from each other just a little for more bark where they touched. I looked real quick in the camper but didn't see any. So on the smoker the butts went. Then a couple hours later I opened one of the outdoor kitchen drawers and guess what I found.... Yep, the skewers I was looking for!!! Oh well, the pp still turned it awesome!!!
I just hope to get the same results from the 14" WSM without much of a "learning curve" for the new smoker!!!
