For dessert while camping, we use one of our dutch ovens. Pour a jar of home canned fruit, a white cake mix and a can of 7up in the bottom of the oven. Place the lid on top and place oven in coals for about 30mins. Check to see if is looks done, scoop into bowls and add vanilla ice cream if you have any.
Tips:
Any fruit- fresh, canned or frozen works, including pie filling
Any lemon lime soda (sprite, squirt, 7up, mountain dew, generic)
White or yellow cake mix of any brand
