Bill, I’m pretty sure she means “ham hock”. You can get smoked ham hocks in the meat section of your local grocery. I’ve never seen them at Walmart. The recipe I gave in the beginning of this thread is the standard recipe for white beans/navy beans. Just use two ham hocks instead if the smoked sausage and you’ll be good to go. If you don’t have the ginger just leave it out. The cloves can be left out too but I think it just tastes incomplete without them.
