Started out with a Weber Q. Really a good little grill. We just retired it and bought a Green Mountain Grill - Davy Crockett. I missed my smoker.
The Davy Crockett kind of big and heavy, but is really versatile. You can smoke, or grill and bake up to 550 degrees.
I've done the same thing, only worse ! I started out with the Weber and it's great. As far as far as I'm concerned, if you want a propane grill, then this is the one to get. BUT, I missed the flavor of charcoal, so I bought a small Weber charcoal grill. Was a happy camper for a while until I noticed that there seemed to be someone in every campground who had a pellet grill. I was missing my smoker, so I looked into it and bought a Davy Crockett.
These things are just too cool. What you really have is a smoker as well as a temperature controlled wood fired oven. And anything cooked over wood just plain tastes better. I love the thing.
So now I have 3 grills, at least temporarily. But I suspect that the propane model is going into storage soon.
