Newave Oven?

Thinking about buying one of those Newwave oven for my class B van.
has anyone ever used one are they any good pros and cons to be nice.
Or would it be better just to upgrade my microwave and buy a convection microwave?

  • I have two, one for the house and the other for the RV, the second one I got for $25.00 on craigslist. We use them a lot, even outside. Some people don't use um. I bet you can find a good deal on CL.
  • We have a micro/convection oven and a Nu wave oven. We prefer the nuwave. It's great for meats and vegetables, toast, muffins...etc.
  • thanks everyone but I'm kinda leaning towards the convection microwave after I've heard enough from you guys and some other sites as well.

    thanks again!
  • I have literally used my Nu Wave oven so much that the dome split in half this weekend. I use it for all meat/poultry and really like the way the meat turns out.
  • We have a B, and a couple of years ago, we come across an older version of the Nu-Wave. We put it in the van, and used it about twice...and then donated it. It worked great, but we are not into eating meals "at home" - we usually find a local eatery. DW said it was more problem to clean, and store than it was worth. Somehow I remember our using it about a dozen times at home when we got it......then the novelty wore off. Safe travels.

Thanks, but that threads not on the oven that's on the induction wave plate they make

Sorry, so many induction threads lately.
  • we bought one for our TT for when we go to yuma. We tried it out in the stick house and it does a good job with the meats and spuds. I tired it on frozen biscuits and that wasn't so good. the biscuit stuck to the rack and we a little hard. cooked them at the time the instructions told us to . it does a frozen whole chicken and the meat is juicy and tender. we bought ours from QCV food net, it was a little cheaper than the tv ads. the shipping on the tv ads is real high, if they say they are giving you one free just pay S & H it will cost you at least $30 for that alone plus the $30 for the one you are paying for. You might amazon or bed bath and beyond stores for prices.

Depends. It does a very good job with meats, potatoes, etc. It wasn't all that great with any baked goods though. It would replace a microwave for many things. It will do a stand up job on a frozen roast.
