Ol' Blue, Debra Nopp

I wasn't sure where to post this, but thought this forum best as so many of us enjoyed ol' Blue's recipes. I wanted to pass this along. Debra and I were Facebook friends. I have just read a post from her husband, Don--Debra passed away on February 16, after her battle with brain cancer. It made me feel very sad because she fought so hard.

Her husband gave a website and said the arrangements would be posted there. It's www.rill.com (Rill's Chapel, Port Orchard, WA). I just looked and the info is not there yet, but should be soon.

Don reminded everyone to "give your loved ones a hug each day...remember tomorrow is always a blessing, but never promised."

  • So sorry to hear of Debra's passing. I loved everyone of her recipes that I tried on RV.net as well as her cookbook. RIP Ol' Blue. You will be missed.
  • In addition to the UW in Seattle, below is a link to another good foundation for donating. Thank you, Don

  • She will be the best cook heaven has ever had. Bless you Debra and your family.
  • Hello all, I am Debra's husband Don. Thank you LindaAnn for sharing the info of Deb's passing. I'm going to add to the message, if anyone would like to, I encourage donating to brain tumor research. One place we support is UWMC in Seattle Washington. Thankyou all for your thoughts and condolences.
    Gifts may be mailed to:
    UW Medicine Advancement
    Attn: Gift Processing
    Box 358045
    Seattle, WA 98195?8045
    Tel: (206) 543-8347

Checks should be made payable to the "UW Foundation." Include the name of the person that this gift is in memory of (Debra Nopp). In the comments line they need to put "Brain Tumor Research Fund" on it, so it will be credited to the right fund.
Can also access donation through the following website:
