Popsicles!

It's almost hotter than hell today and I want a popsicle! I looked in the freezer and all we have is ice cream. I don't know about you, but when it reaches a certain temp I don't want something milky creamy I want something juicy.

What/who is your favorite popsicle (no ice cream allowed!) or brand tolerance frozen juice stick/bar? I guess we could go 2 ways here: what brand/flavor and do you make your own (that one begs for a recipe)?

And while we're at it do I get a prize for a thread that hasn't been done before? My search turned up zero results for popsicle.

    And the hot weekend continues. I hope everyone stocked up on their popsicles. Last night I just took the fruit punch in the fridge, some small dixie cups and stuck the combo in the freezer. Today I have fruit punch popsicles!

    I like the old fashioned Popsicles in either banana or root beer flavor. When I was teaching, the kids liked the ones called "Big Sticks".

    Haven't had any for years, but I remember the pineapple def had chunks of pineapple in it.

    It won't but the carrier will. Jello shots come to mind.

    I haven't had a Popsicle in decades, now I want one for some strange reason. My favorite as a kid was the Dreamsicle, vanilla ice cream with an orange Popsicle coating. Probably the same as the creamsicle?

    Flavor Ice pops! Frozen colored water with sugar. Hard to tell if they are even different flavors, or the color makes you think of a flavor. Freeze quick, easy to hand out to a bunch of hot kids, and very, very cheap! Nothing like squeezing out that plastic for the very last drop!

    My favorite is a Banana popsicle you get at WallyWorld. Wouldn't you know I'm out and now am wanting one.

    It's the kind with 2 stick, break it in half and me and the furbaby enjoy.

    Lemon popsicles are very hard to find. When you do, they used to be in a box all by themselves. I haven't purchased any for several years, so maybe you can't find them anymore. They kind of tasted like an Italian ice on a stick.

    Thank you for putting popsicles into my mind ...by about 3 pm, I'm not going to be happy without one. Luckily we're camping 3 miles from a grocery store.

    I must have eaten 500 of them as a little kid, and would sharpen the wooden sticks on the curb to make dangerous tools for battles with the 3 siblings. We would walk about a half mile from our house to buy them at the Broad Branch Market in northwest DC for 5 cents each. I liked cherry the best. Sticky little fingers and arms. Good summer memories.

    Now I want a Popsicle. To bad your on the left coast, Chic-Fil-A has Ice Dream about as close to homemade as I've ever had.
