Last year we had a Mexican food extravaganza. I had several people from Mexico helping me cook on a fire. Two sisters grew up in a village with no roads to it. We made everything from scratch. I have a piece of sheet metal to use as a comal for making tortillas. We had 4 kinds of homemade salsa, charro beans, rice, several salads and fresh fruit. We got ready before the 40 guests arrived by playing Mexican music. Plenty of Spanish spoken. It felt like we were in Mexico. Las Hermanas shared some tiny shots of tequila while they cooked.
