wbwood mentioned the pre-prepared and wrapped bakers. They are more money, but when we're RVing we do make use of them. They're just to easy to ignore when there are more important things at hand.
We don't buy bags of potatoes because they will go bad before we can eat them So in the long run, they end up costing us more. The ones wrapped in plastic are not really too much more in cost over the baking potatoes you can buy separately. Plus much more convenient. No having to scrub the potato and as mentioned, just set in microwave, cook, cut off plastic and eat.
