Prep day

DH - Potatoes, 5#'s, are peeled and soaking in water...overnight. Tomorrow will cube them and then it's 'slow cooker time!! :B

DH - Later this afternoon will put the stuffing/dressing together and goes into the fridge overnight. Tomorrow into another slow cooker. :B

DW - already working on the cranberries...then into the fridge.

DW - Maple-roasted sweet potatoes prepped tonight and finished off in the morning.

DW - Green Bean Casserole will be prepped and made tomorrow...have to have something for the DW to do. :W

DH - 14# turkey goes in the Char Broil Big Easy about 2:30 - 3:00pm tomorrow. Will be looking for 165 degrees which should be about 2:15 of cooking time.

DG (Dear Guests) - Are doing desert - their homemade Chocolate Ganache...to die for!! :p:p

Lets see did we forget anything?? :h

Everyone have a safe Happy Thanksgiving and please remember our men and women serving our Country that won't be able to be with their loved ones.

Thankfully, my sister ponied up this year for a change and SHE is cooking dinner. Which also means that she has to clean her house instead of me - for the first time in years.

I made brownies this morning. I have a triple batch of Stollen on it's second rise, and I'm getting ready to make a Red Velvet Cake to take along tomorrow. So, even those of us not hosting dinner are doing some prep today. But luckily, I don't have to clean house too!

MY turkey is in the oven as I type this...smells soooooo good.....:B.....it's all about the anticipation.....:W:W......Dennis
