Just remembered seeing a recipe for mashed pumpkin made to take the place of mashed potatoes. I think the recipe which I read had butter and a beaten egg in it. Was than piled in serving side piles on a cookie tray and baked in an oven. I saved the recipe for several years and than tossed it.
