What are you supposed to DO with it?
I've used "castarn" all my life, and the cleaning method taught to me by my Mother is chore boy scrub using gentle soapy water followed by a rinse. If stuff is stuck, put a little water in the pan, boil, turn off heat, cover and let sit awhile.
Then back to the soapy water etc.
