Good time of year to make bread, usually sour dough.The worst bread i ever made is better than store bought.Use a bread machine,cost about 40 cents a loaf.
Really want to get in this but am timid about it. Did you make your own starter? If so, how? If not where'd you get it? How long can you keep it (the starter)? Really want to try bread on our next trip, but that might in a couple of months, so I thought I'd practice at home. I want to use our Dutch Oven and charcoal if that matters. Thanks any and all help.
