Superbowl Ideas

Here's another quick appetizer:
Sausage Won Tons
Ingredients
1/2 pound hot Italian Sausage
1/2 cup finely shredded carrot
1/4 cup finely chopped water chestnuts
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger or 2 teaspoons minced fresh gingerroot
1/3 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon sherry or additional chicken broth
1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
40 wonton wrappers

Directions
1. In a nonstick skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in carrot and water chestnuts. In a bowl, combine cornstarch and ginger. Stir in the broth, sherry or additional broth and soy sauce until smooth. Stir into sausage mixture. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until thickened.
2. Gently press wonton wrappers into miniature muffin cups coated with cooking spray. Lightly coat wontons with cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 5 minutes. Remove wontons from cups and arrange upside down on baking sheets. Lightly coat with cooking spray. Bake 5 minutes longer or until light golden. Turn wontons; fill each with about 1 teaspoon sausage mixture. Bake for 2-3 minutes or until filling is heated through. Yield: 40 wontons.

Both recipes sound great! I have a similar cheeseball recipe that uses a small can of crushed, drained pineapple. It's delicious!

We will probably stick with chicken wings for the game, but may give the wontons a go.

I thought football bowl season was over after the Dawgs lost a couple of weeks ago. Is there anyone else playing football?

super simple recipe. get a beer of your choosing. I tend to prefer something that has my 2 favorite traits (1 cold 2 on sale). anyways take that beer (and like 6 or 7 of its friends) open it and........................................................drink it

My wife and I are planning a anti-stupidbowl gathering. Brisket, pulled pork, for the main meal, ABT's, stuffed shrooms and pork shots for the appetizers.

Im with you, have not watched since brillo head put the knee down. Will not watch again.

We will be sitting down at our tank and sipping a few cold ones catching a few bass and crappie. No nfl here, only fresh fried fish.
