Great topic. As we do every year we go to a state park with the children and grandchildren and make Thanksgiving feast over the fire in dutch ovens. One 14" deep will have a ham. Another will have pot roast. Hashbrown casserole will be in another d.o. The rest is made on the stove or brought by the family. One son and his wife always bring the turkey. The others bring veg casseroles, soups and pies. Of course we always have about a gallon of cranberry sauce on the side. One granddaughter will eat nothing but that with maybe a slice of pumpkin pie. You know how some picky eaters can be.
No tv football. Just hikes, volleyball and the grands playing tag. Everyone falls into bed by 9:30 and we get up to the smell of bacon and biscuits thanks to Herself.
Sounds heavenly!
