I like bacon also, but for the 2 of us find that we cook part of a pkg, and then end up not using the other half. I instead buy real bacon bits. I can add these in recipes in place of the cooked crisp break into pieces bacon from the package and it is the same. No dirty frying pan, no grease to dispose of, just easier. Now for breakfast you would not be able to cheat like this. I agree I'm going to enjoy food and my life and not try to live to be 110 years old and miserable. My mother-in-law lived to be almost 103, and enjoyed good health until around 98. The last 5 years were not a blessing for her. I'd rather go happy!
PS - I am normal weight, I do not have high blood pressure, I am not on any medications and I smoke. Have done so for 46 years. I require less medical care than many of the non-smokers, diet watchers, vegans that I know. I do not exercise to exercise either, just enjoy casual walks, working in my garden, housekeeping etc as my form of exercise. Bring on the bacon!
