I'm going to be dead for a long time. For now I'm going to eat what I want.

Well, it has salt.
So, how's your blood pressure?
Or your heart?
How much salt are you permitted for your given health a day? Me, just 1500 mg or 3/4 of a teaspoon.
Go read your nutrition labels on everything you buy at the store and look for sodium, find out what food items have natural salt.
Then when you use bacon, you know you have to make sure the rest of your meal has no salt at all.
It's one of those things which may preserve food, but shortened our ancestors lives.

Amen brother!!! Life's too short to eat bad bacon.:W
:C - bywaysExplorerI gave up eating all that bad food 20 years ago so I can spend an extra year in a nursing home with no mind.

:C - korbeExplorerWe very seldom cook bacon at home. But while campin', it's definitely on the breakfast menu. Cook them outside on a cast iron skillet, and the grease gets saved for use later on in the meal.
