Pretty sure there's several things wrong with the presumptions in this thread; First lets skip the notion that AZ lets just anyone carry a loaded weapon in concealment without a permit or license.
Wrong! AZ has an "OPEN CARRY LAW" any legal citizen that can legally posses a firearm (Not a convicted felon or illegal alien etc) can carry "OPENLY", legally, as long as it is not in a threatening manor. ie waving it around and pointing it at people etc. A license to conceal carry is more difficult to get in AZ than most other states that one can be had. points from just this far; only an idiot would bring a knife to a gun fight, if you start something with a person who has a pistol strapped to his side....Well??? Maybe it was akin to "suicide by cop" maybe it was concealed and it was L.E.O or EX L.E.O, maybe it was a BAD person just waiting to kill someone?!?! Maybe there was a baseball bat in the other hand and there was a fear for life?!?! Wally world sells lots of objects that can be used as such!!
