campsites on the ocean

I am looking to camp in our 40 ft. MH on the ocean in VA, MD, GA, FL. We have camped in NC, and SC. We would like the travel to a different State but having a hard time finding a place that you can view the Ocean.
Thank you for any help.

  • USA Today ARTICLE

    http://traveltips.usatoday.com/ocean-front-rv-parks-virginia-51643.html
  • Camp Gulf, Destin FL. You can park right on the beach in the sand if you want.
  • Long Key State Park, FL. However you must attempt to book online exactly 11 months ahead at 8 a.m. Eastern Time, and it is rare to succeed in booking even then.

Actually, not sure if they still will handle a 40-footer due to some erosion. The site lengths were modified in the reservation system.

Gamble Rogers SP in Fla, also some sites oceanfront that book up instantly.
  • Gamble Rogers memorial state park at Flagler Beach in Fl. The camp sights are right on the beach.
  • Not too many places in Virginia to camp on the beach. Most are several blocks inland.

The USA article is bordering falsehoods.

Yeah, camp gulf is nice, also about $200/day if you can get a spot
