Family - - - too little, too late

I must say as a working parent with children in school, it is really hard to commit to anything during the school year. The schools sporadically assign huge projects that will take an entire weekend to complete. When you add on soccer, slumber parties, etc...it gets difficult to juggle.

Hubby recently told grandparents we could not send the kids for a weekend, but told them when our spring break was. They chose to take a road trip during that week. Oh, well. They don't live their life around us, so we certainly don't go out of our way to live our life around them.
