Getting away from it all!



Had a great trip down to the Big Sur Coast last weekend. First trip of the year. No cell service at all, freedom! We hung out at the beach, whale watched from the bluffs and hiked to a waterfall. Couldn't have had a better weekend! Had a bit of rain on the way down, but stopped in the village of Big Sur at the Tap House and that put us in the mood!

Can't wait for our next trip down in the fall, maybe sooner if we can work it in.

    Rookie RVer :C here! Been there done that, and its my FAVORITE place to visit! Been all over the country, currently live in Texas (not my choice) and would give my third born for the opportunity to visit here again. There are so many hidden sites along Highway 1.....

    We drove our 24 foot motorhome down to Plaskett Creek Campground, its about 45 minutes below Big Sur. We go down to there at least twice a year. I have seen some huge rigs pull into the campground, big class A's and 5th wheels. its amazing what people pull there! Sometimes we help them back into sites and find out they are renting these monsters!

    Kismir, just curious since your post didn't specify, did you take an RV or stay in a lodge along the way? Just curious about how big a rig you pulled, if any on that stretch of Hwy 1.

    Wow! I wish I had spectacular places like that where I could drive to just for the weekend! :C
