Leave the kids home!!!

In the campsite next to us is a young family with a small child. I do believe that from the time the child wakes up in the morning till the family leaves for their daily sightseeing/outing, he cries.
And....He is crying when they arrive home in the evening. He then cries off and of till we go to bed around 10:30. It's not enjoyable to sit around the camp fire in the evening. I have thought about seeing the Host and seeing if the crying is imposing of the 10 pm quite time.
Rant over....But there is nothing more annoying than listing to a child cry all the time.

Update....
It appears that I was not the only camper annoyed by the crying child. When we got home Sat. from our outing, The family was gone. In talking with the couple on the other side of them, it appears that someone did complain to the Camp Host and the family was asked to leave. There are lots of tenters here so going inside, closing doors and windows was not an option for them.

Sorry the family had to leave, but surely the child was a nuisance.
  • I'm so sorry that this child ruined your day! The child/parent's were very rude. I'm sure they were truly enjoying themselves, too. Did it occur to you that the child may have had an ear infection, been teething, or had another illness or problem? Are you grumpy because you bought a motorhome without wheels?
Next time, you should reserve a spot in an adult-only campground, (make sure to specify no pets), or you should stay home!

(Did they keep him on a leash and pick up after him?) Opps, that for a different thread.

The only "good" time we have is when we are away from the CG. Hate to come home because I know he will be crying. I would ask to be moved, but the CG is full and all sites reserved.
  • I have to agree. the sound of a baby crying is the hardest sound to ignore or tolerate. nature designed it that way so adults would rush to stop it. apparently the parents are used to it or maybe they wear earplugs.
the campground hosts need to step up and tell the couple to take their kid somewhere else because it isn't fair to the rest of the campers to have to hear that crying all the time.
  • Va parks should charge extra for these!! Did they leave dirty diapers laying around??
