Any suggestions for RV parks near Nags Head NC? Pulling small travel trailer. Want water and electric hookup.
There is a campground on Roanoke Island only a few miles from Nags Head and they usually have spaces available. THE REFUGE
There are more at these sites:OBX CAMPGROUNDS - mnm_2Explorerwe like Camp Hatteras it is a little expensive but has camping on both the sound and ocean sides, very well maintained
- ThetravelingcooExplorerSuggestions? Go south. Towards Hatteras, that's where the campgrounds are. We have a couple trailer parks in KH an down in KDH off colington, nothing in NH that I know of, might be something tho. Good luck getting into the ones in KH or KDH as they are usually booked with long term people who only leave when the storms come through. ;)
You'll enjoy the time down south unless you have to be in the thick of things..then you'll want to stay north. Me..I vote for south, but then I live here an get tired of being in the thick of things..LOL.
An yes..I live here.
Enjoy your stay an leave my sandbar as you found it please. Us year round folk down here sure do appreciate it. ;)
TheTravelingCooler - Anger dwells only in the bosom of fools. - Albert Einstein - demoonExplorerThere isn't much in Nags Head. My daughter lives there. A lot of people like Frisco Woods. We have never been there outselves.http://www.thefriscowoodscampground.com/
We always stay at Ocean Waves, which is a bit of a drive, but great sites, over the dune to the Ocean and the best price on Hatteras Island.http://www.oceanwavescampground.com/
Beautiful area. Good luck. - INBellbuoyExplorerWe were at Camp Hatteras last month, I thought it was very nice. It's a bit of drive from Waves to nags Head/Kitty Hawk, but I really didn't see anything I thought was a nicer campground.
