Near Red Deer, Alberta. On a lake or nice river please?

My wife and I have just acquired a new 25ft travel trailer and want to use it for the first time during the last weekend in August.

We reside in Red Deer, Alberta and would wish to camp by a lake or river with full hook up and a store on site...anyone, any ideas please?

We are a middle aged couple with a small doggy, quiet is good for us.

    I stay at Wilderness Village once each summer. Great CG, well run, good neighbours. There is a store on location as well! Crimson Lake is 5 minutes away.

    Try the provincial campground at Gull Lake, either Aspen Beach or Lakeside. They are both quite nice. The store is at Aspen Beach but there is a nice walking path from Lakeside.
