Just saw your post... couple of months late. Croton Point is a Westchester County park about 10 miles north of the Tappan Zee Bridge right on the Hudson River. Just came back from a trip there this past weekend.

Had my first ever winter camping 3 weeks ago at Swartswood with two cousins for a guys weekend. Awesome time. Not another person in the joint! Going back with just my 10 year old daughter in march
