I use a booster seat strapped to a folding chair. used that set-up with our son when he was younger, now use it with our daughter. when we are traveling the seat stays strapped to the chair and gets put on the bench seat, then it sits at the end of the table for meals. easy to carry outside to the picnic table. our children have always wanted to be at the table with us in a booster seat, instead of in a high chair with a tray.
