If you are still looking for campgrounds, there is a nice quiet state park in Cooperstown called Glimmerglass. There is not a lot to do in the park itself except for some short trails as a nice beach. However he Cooperstown area has some nice attractions, including the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Farmers Museum, and some great fishing on Otsego Lake.
