We don't have kids but if I were in your situation I would look at toy hauler 5th wheels or TTs. The garage area provides the flexibilty to carry bikes and other "toys" for the kids, when parked and unloaded it allows the kids to have their area inside. The garage provides additional living space and separate beds for the kids.
