Worst case of disrespect I've every seen in a campground!

Currently camped at General Butler State Park in Kentucky. Staying till Monday. The week-enders pulled all pulled out and were gone by 1:00 pm ish. We are on campsite 69. Campsite 70 is beside us....

I'd say the reason is simply that you are on public property or another's private property and whether it's removable or not, it's no better than grafiti. Save the chalk for your own driveway.
