Wow- the Guardians of Rescue really IS flying under the radar...when do you think they might break the news to the actual folks that live wherever they've set up that they're there???
Sorta fries me that this New York based group has imported a bunch of folks from California and set up camp somewhere in between without so much as a by-your-leave from the locals. All for the purpose of dispersing a bunch of dogs from Forks, Washington...which town was 100% in support of their presence right up until they vanished in the middle of the night!
Quite a public relations stunt- and remarkably effective, if activity on the GOR Facebook and fundraising pages are any indication. ;)
O.K., Pops- yer on the scene with yer pups, and I'm thinkin' their sniffers can sniff out the location of their new neighbors!
Our only clue so far is that the GOR Facebook page sez that they're buying stuff from Lowes. Now, the only Lowes I see along the Arizona/Nevada border are all in the Las Vegas area- nothin' on the Arizona side. I'm betting that those dogs are inside Lowe's typical 25 mile delivery radius of one of those stores....which side of the State line unknown.
Let us know if Team Pops comes up with anything...:@ - AZPopsExplorer

Hey, "Anonymous"! You in Arizona right now?
If so:
What's the local scuttlebutt per this story, or is anybody down there even aware that Az might be "Guardians of Rescue Central" right now?
They're sure hypein' this secret location thing on their Facebook page...which page is of course complete with a handy-dandy direct link to the make-a-donation page.

Oh go ahead Anonymous and say what you want to say! :B
Pops will never know. - AZPopsExplorerAwh heck, on second thought, nevur mind!
Anonymous Jr. - Code2HighExplorerThey are saying there are actually 124 live dogs, which if it is true, is vastly better news than I'd have expected.
He won't have such an easy time the second time around. I'm sure there are still people who are crazy enough to support what he's doing, but a very large portion of the rescue community is aware of this situation. Unless he can totally conceal who is behind the operation, he'll have a much harder time getting donations going forward. - Francesca_KnowlExplorer

Local scuttlebutt is also heavily weighted towards his being holed up somewhere closer to home here on the Olympic Peninsula. Rumors fly, of course, and they now include speculation that Markwell has friends on one of the local reservations, where the dogs would be out of anyone's reach. But I'm havin' a hard time believing that the Tribe would want to get involved in such a mess...
Eh? Do you actually know anyone in Forks? Do you actually know anyone that knows him?
Somehow I think not.
Word I had from friends there was that what he said he was doing, he was doing, and since the dogs have arrived where he said he was taking them.....
Why, yes, I spend a lot of time on that side of the Peninsula and do know people in Forks. And frankly, I think you're blowin' smoke about what you say you heard from "friends there"....
But no matter...looks like the Perp has achieved his objective, that being:
To dispose of the dogs in as public a way as possible, while still retaining his right to restart in what has proven to be a very lucrative business. Why else would he have rejected the offer from a more-local group that contained a proviso that he refrain from opening another "shelter" like this one?
So much more dramatic/publicity/donations-getting than just turning them over to respectable folks prepared to care for them properly... - n7bsnExplorer
