There is a wonderful online support group for parents of three legged cats and dogs. It is Tripawds.com. We have been members of the group for two years now, ever since our Lab/Chessie, Murphy, had his leg amputated following a collision with a moving vehicle. They have a wealth of information, helpful hints, and a caring group of people who are in the same position as your daughter finds herself.
Please let your daughter know that there is help out there. There are discussion forums, live chats with other Tripawd parents, sections on nutrition, gear, and vet experts who are very knowledgeable.
