We took our cat one year and not even that worked well as the feline streak of lightning slipped past us and shot out the door... fortunately we caught him under the rv. Now he stays home. Next time if we have to have a cat with us, we will close him in the bedroom with his litter box.
I'm wondering how we're going to handle it with the Class-C and our 4 cats on our cross-country trip. It's easier for one to slip out the doors of the CC than the doors on the TT. We're going to install a barrier to the side of the step but most likely we'll confine them to the back bedroom with a litterpan and one of their cat condos until we're stopped for the night. Opening the cab doors would be a nono as cats have been known to sit behind or under the driver's seat and fly out the door when opened. Mine are indoor-only cats but don't really travel well. They may leap outside just to escape the RV. I wish, for the first time, that we had family to leave them with. My biggest nightmare is losing one of them while traveling.
