Are You a Dog Lover or Dog Parent

They passed this year but definitely parent. In a trailer that sat seven I usually had to pick someone up to sit down.

Dog parent. My husband would tell our dog to go ask Mom and she would come straight to me. Our cat thought he was a dog and acted the same way.

Cherish every day with my dogs. They are spoiled and I love it. We are at the stage of life where every day is a gift.

None of the above.
I love dogs, and can barely get by with only three.
But they need to know that I am the owner and they are the pets.
Living with a Border Collie is a challenge because they are smart enough to train their owners.

I find this distinction to be weird and the "logic" to be misguided. For instance, with #2, I know many people who think their dogs are perfect and special but who could care less about any other dog in the world. It's only because it is theirs that it becomes "worthwhile". Or #7 - that's just a nosy person; has nothing to do with the dog. Or #6 - really? I find camping in the RV to be a stressfree vacation and look at that, my dogs come with me every time without tons of research...

Definitely dog (and cat) lovers, just the way were brought up by our parents. Both were raised on farms or ranches where all animals had there place, no doubt we love our pets, but we rule the roost and not the other way around.

Both of us are dog parents. Hmmm sometimes we feel like dog servants!

Yep...dog mama and dog lover. My black and tan cocker spaniel is the joy in my life. Just turned two and keeps me going...knows just how to work his mama.

Hmmmm... I love mine dearly, but I'm still the boss and they're still dogs.
