The dogs or people end up getting injured. Sometimes the stress involved in forcing the medication isn't the best choice.
Just some experiences I've encountered.
I had a dear lab who was normally very laid back and extremely sweet, UNTIL someone tried to give him the nasal version of the bordatella vaccine. 4 grown adults could not hold him down - period! He became like the girl in the Exorcist - lol! Finally, several years before he passed away, a note was put in Chipper's file to give him the shot version instead, which he didn't mind at all.
