there is a supplement you can get at a vets, called NutriCal/////comes in a tube like toothpaste, tastes good..Squeeze some on finger, ( about an inch)AND PLACE THE PILL in it and then place it in the mouth, it works best if placed along the gumline I have been giving Elizabeth her pioos twice a day using this and its great
