Did he give a good thorough going over? Palpate down the spine and the joints?

Run blood to check for metabolic issues?

We had a problem with our one cocker. She suddenly started jumping up on the bed in the middle of the night and would literally stand on one of our heads. She would race around and do stupid stuff. Got up on an end table and made a dump on a newspaper. Just all kinds of bizarre behavior that she had NEVER done before.

Took her to the vet, and she said it was all behavioral and put her on prozac. I wasn't convinced. Went back and got our regular vet, who we prefer - ended up she has some calcium spurs at one spot in her back.

Never gave her the prozac = I just didn't agree with that diagnosis. A round of prednisone and tramadol straightened her right out and she's been fine ever since.

Took my little Bear Killer to the vet yesterday - no evident physical problem. Vet asked about seizures, running into things, etc. None of that. He is going to put him on puppy-dog Zantax.
He suggested a possible cause - there has been an unusual number of reportable earthquakes in Oklahoma recently. Although the epicenter is about 90 miles NE of us, we have still felt some of them. Of course, the animals are much more sensitive to them.

But we still don't know. I'll have to limit his attacks on bears for the immediate future.

My first guess was a Baby BigFoot. There is a family of BigFeet living down back by the river. Papa BigFoot Mama BigFoot, two teenager BigFeet and Baby BigFoot. They are usually no trouble, except Baby BigFoot is a bit curious and mischievous.

Have you checked his ears? Ear pain can feel like a sudden bolt of lightning. Let us know what the vet says.

Best to take him to your vet. We can all guess, surmise, interpret or otherwise try to diagnose but we all could be wrong. Write down every time it happens-time of day, what has he eaten, any change in routine, etc., and take him to someone who can diagnose accurately.

Not at all worried about the fee. Just want my little bear killer to be his normal self.

Another vote for the vet. Literally hundreds of things COULD be causing it and SOME are quite serious. Of courses some are NOT but the peace of mine is worth the fee.

Yep. Definitely a vet trip. That was in my plans.
