Years ago I hosted a birthday party for a co worker in my home..all the guests were nurses that worked together but did not necessarily socialize otherwise...while we were having dinner one of the ladies had went into the kitchen and upon her returned, very quietly whispered into my ear " your Doberman is eating the birthday cake off the counter and I was not about to stop him " there's lots to be said in favour of little dogs with visual problems...no jumping up onto counters or dining room tables :o
