Ask them why is that. My female beagle had 2 seizures. About a couple months apart. After the 2nd one our vet put her on some meds. I experimented until I found the lowest dosage that would prevent the seizures. Didn't prevent an expensive case of pancreatitis, but she has not had a seizure since. (the last year)
Every vet is different and Bud is your responsibility. Maybe a 2nd opinion is in order. There is no skin off their back if a seizure occurs that causes permanent damage.
We changed vets because treatment from the prior one just wasn't up to the standard of care that we wanted, it really started lacking after the vet had a health issue himself that caused some judgement/care issues.
