Bud just had another seizure at 9:50 that lasted one minute. The vet said they can happen in cluster's. Now he is pacing again. The first time he had two seizures about 3 hours apart today it was about 6 hours apart. With 5 weeks inbetween.
Check with your vet. But IMHO I would get some honey and/or glucose into him during/after the seizure. Their glucose drops when they seize which can send them into another one because their glucose is so low. Can't hurt him and it might prevent the second one. I also would not let him pace that further can deplete his glucose. I held on to my dog after the seizures for a long time before putting him back down.So his body could recoup.
Don't panic though. Even it comes down to the fact that it turns out he is epileptic many dog's live long seizure free lives on the correct dose of phenobarb.
Hang in there I know how you feel. It's really hard to watch them go thru it.
