Good to hear your doggie is home and getting pampered.....I agree with needing a DVM that I feel good about...we have a fellow about 30 minutes away but would not take a dying snake to him...he is abrasive, treats owners like idiots etc. Now having said that, he is a surgical genius especially with orthopaedics....but having him call me " stupid " for having chihuahuas after Newfoundlands was the breaking straw for me..we drive 75 minutes to a clinic where they treat animals and owners with respect and caring concern .
As to cost...we pay $1000 - 1400 depending on age to start for a dental and then the price goes up if extractions are needed...add on another procedure and the price would be well over $2000 +...so hopefully this makes your bill not sting quite so much LOL
