My cat's litterbox is in the exact same place. Why do you need an odor treatment? Just scoop.I hope you aren't used to letting their litter go days between scoops? That's like you going 24 hours without flushing your toilet. I scoop mine whenever he uses it, about 3x day, since I'm in the same room anyway. Takes seconds.I keep a Litter Genie nearby. If you scoop the clumps directly into the Litter Genie, there's nothing there to smell. I hope that helps.

Agree the key to reduced odor of liter boxes is to scoop them regularly and to use a quality litter. I'm not sure you need to do it right after they do their business but it doesn't hurt if you do.

Our cats have just recently become RV kitties.

We removed the fireplace, in our Mountaineer 324RLQ 5th wheel, to use that space for the kitty area. Food, Water and litter box. Works great.

Wife cleans the litter box daily.

At home we swear by Tidy Cats clumping litter, the one with the red label. The only sign of an odor comes from the little baggies I use if they don't make it out to the garbage the same day.

Correct! But if you already know, adding baking soda will not bother her as it doesn't add a flowery odor - which I can't stand.

I have concerns over our cat ingesting the clumping stuff, too, Naio. So far no problems.

As long as your cat is good about using the pellets, I would be hesitant to change it on her. JMHO.

I use pellet litters, because of the dust. But you folks make me realise I am missing out on the scoopability. I wonder if it would work to mix them?

My cat has extremely furry feet (long tufts sticking out between his toes, etc.). Small particles like clay litter chunks track everywhere. And I wonder if he would end up eating the clumping litter while trying to get it out of his foot fur. What do you all think?

x2 on the unscented. Way too perfumey. ScoopAway makes an unscented version, as well. The dust is more of an issue in a small space than odor from a litterbox.

We had a bigger problem with the perfume odor from the litter than cat odor. In a smaller confined area of the motorhome, the perfume was overpowering to us. We used Cat's Pride fresh and light fragrance free (unscented). It did a great job with odor control without the overpowering scent.

We used the scoopable kitty litter for multiple cats even tho we had only one.
No smell.
