We use good clumping cat litter and have no problems. We scoop often and use a clumping litter with some odor control (blue) pellets in it. If you have an odor problem, change litter. We have found some litter that seems to have odor almost right away. We now use Odor Shield and Special Kitty (found at Walmart). We use mix the two together to give the best mixture with no odor and less dust. Your kitties will do fine. Ours travel in their cages which they do not like, but quickly settle down and sleep the entire trip. Be sure to cage them before engaging the slides and do not let them outside and they will be happy kitties.
