When we feel like this, we need to focus on the animals and how much we have improved their lives. Even though losing them is very hard, the love they return in that short time is worth it. And knowing that your dog is being loved, cared for, a warm clean place to sleep at night and perhaps extended family is worth it. I still grieve for all of mine, but they all lived exceptionally loved lives while we had them. Mine were all and always have been rescues. They need humans like you! Just imagine what your Rottie's life would be like if you weren't caring for her.
