I'm a volunteer with Central Illinois Sheltie Rescue. I'm on my second rescue dog from them - others I rescued were from Chicago shelters. Would I do it again - of course! My dog is having some health issues right now that I've spent over $1,000 on in the past 2 months. I also have a horse which costs me plenty. Would I remove these pets from my life - nah! I think of all the good times I've had with my animal family members, and am committed to giving them the best life because they give me the best of theirs and unconditional love. Hopefully your dog will feel better soon, and if you do lose her, there is another waiting for the love and care you can give. Wishing you and your dog better days.
