Ike was big enough, that as he ate (and I raised his bowl up about 6" off the floor, which helped) - he'd stand leaning up against the kitchen cupboard, and I'd stand next to him, so his feet couldn't slip. But the tile kitchen floor became his nemesis.....
Here's his fancy "Bowl raiser": a Domino Sugar bucket...LOL!! Worked perfectly with our dishes. The dog-products marketed for this, all come with stainless dishes which of course I couldn't put in the microwave to warm his food a bit.
