Coydogs

On a recent trip to Ark we met some Folks that have a coydog. It is very lightly built and black and white. It is very friendly. It is obviously a coydog. Without doing DNA or course it could be wrong.
The coyotes run along the fence of it's enclosure every night. It sings with them. The amazing thing to me was the animal weighs very little and it show no, to me, of the natural wildness, of a coyote or any wild animal. A very handsome animal.

  • A friend's dog runs with the Coyote's all the time. About a month or so ago I saw him with two Coyotes.

There is one Coyote where I take Calvin for his morning and early evening walks that looks like he maybe a half breed (same area or place as the above). Especially (in direct comparison) when he's with another Coyote.

Most Coyote's will run off when they see us. However, this guy will keep tabs on us, by follow us as we walk. Stalking Calvin, could be. Trying to have Calvin take the bait to chase him in an ambush, could be as well.

Since we've been in the area for such a long time. I've noticed the Coyote's been marking the area as well. That's why I noticed that their poop has a lot of seeds in it, as well as it looks radio active since it's a florescent yellow / green color.

Thats funny OLD-BISCUIT... After seeing both names I think I like DOGOTE better..

We had a coyote mixed dog at a work site back in the 70s in Maricopa AZ. Right down to the yellow eyes... He would howl with coyotes every evening at dusk.

Lots of Coyotes running wild there in the dessert - Our dog would go missing about once a month for a few days and when he came back he was sometimes roughed up pretty good. Always had a smile on his face tho...
