They'll have to deal with the local animal shelter - I took him there this afternoon (45 minute drive each way plus a $25 "donation"). It must have been "black lab day" because 2 others had been turned in that morning, and there was one behind me.
I'm praying that since he was SO well cared-for, he's somebody's beloved dog and they are looking for him.....
