KITTEN'S QUARRY
From your height I realize
that the world is one surprise
after another.
Everything is a foe
to be pounced on lest it go
unaware
that a kitten is quite clever
and chances are he'll never
let it free.
With your prey in your grip
held fast by a mighty nip,
I'd really rather
That you weren't quite so brave
for I'd tell you, little knave,
If I'd dare
That the prize you proudly show
happens to be a toe
attached to me!
